A brief explanation of clinical commissioning groups
Clinical Commissioning Groups are essentially GPs who will be assigned responsibility for the design of local health services. The groups, which will serve health services in England from April of 2012 will either commission or buy health services which will include most community health services, urgent and emergency care, rehabilitation care, and elective hospital care.
